This is an interesting article relating to recent rate increase yesterday....begs the question why those people borrowing to buy assets now don’t factor in an extra 2-3% buffer for interest rate fluctuations given the widely known average is approx 8-9% (source Reserve Bank of Australia standard variable interest rate home loans, Jan 1959 to Feb 2008).
